The Program Officer will be working under the supervision of the Program Manager in for several projects enhancing the performance of the organization. She/He will support the management team in project implementation, monitoring, reporting and evaluation. She/he will be responsible for administrative tasks (such as filing, preparing reports, handling mail) and for promoting the services of THP through increasing awareness on online channels. We are looking for an organized, problem-solving, multi-tasking, individual with great attention to detail, excellent oral and written communication skills, and excellent organizational skills who is particularly passionate about assisting refugee children and who is up for rolling up their sleeves and wearing the many hats needed to support the smooth operation of The HOME Project.

Key duties and responsibilities: 

  • Performing administrative, managerial, and professional duties under the general supervision of the Program Manager
  • Supporting the planning and implementation of programs, developing external relationships, and resolving problems via all forms of communication
  • Undertaking clerical tasks such as filing, preparing reports, handling mail and basic bookkeeping
  • Manage and monitor grants and prepare funding reports for management and donors.
  • Handling communications with external partners, supporters
  • Organize volunteers engagement and activities
  • Monitoring social media accounts of the organization and produce content
  • Answering queries by employees, partners and supporters
  • Liaising with all levels of the organization to make decisions for operational activities
  • Prepare meeting agenda, organize meetings and distribute minutes.
  • Completing ad hoc Executive requests

 Requirements 

  • Degree in Business, Economics, Marketing, Communications, Political Science, Public Relations or a related field
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in similar roles
  • Master degree in Communication, MBA, Public Relations or a closely related discipline will be considered an asset
  • Experience of working with donor-funded projects will have an added advantage
  • Outstanding writing, re-writing and editing skills
  • Excellent communication, and presentation skills, in Greek and English, both written and oral
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills with the ability to prioritize and deal with a variety of tasks
  • Experience of working in a multicultural environment
