W., from Pakistan, has been under the care of The HOME Project for the past three years. He learnt Greek and English, and due to his willingness to study he has been granted a scholarship at ACS Athens (American Community Schools). Being very communicative, he often volunteered to translate for the other children, ensuring the smooth running of activities in the shelter.
Today, as a young adult, he has been moved to the 18+ shelter of The HOME Project and has been hired as care giver in one of our shelters. His story is an example of social inclusion achieved through tailored support and equal access to opportunities. We are proud of him.
