Friends of The HOME Project

Friends of The HOME Project is a global community of supporters who are deeply committed to the mission of the HOME Project. Since its founding in 2016 by humanitarian entrepreneur Sofia Kouvelaki, The HOME Project has been an innovator in providing a holistic network of child protection services for over 1,070 refugee children arriving in Greece after perilous journeys across borders, fleeing violence, conflict, poverty, climate crises and persecution in search of safety and a better future. The HOME Project’s unique model steps in to provide a safety net for children who have fallen through the cracks and suffer the failures of global migration policies and practices.

Friends of The HOME Project offers a way to take action and make a personal contribution to breaking this cycle of upheaval and suffering. We need your help. Your investment would be used to operate our 13 homes and provide mental health, legal, educational, social support and integration services for the approximately 250 children under our care. We invite people who share our commitment to creating a brighter future for the world’s most vulnerable children to join us at the annual supporter levels below:

  • Friend: $5,000
  • Supporter: $10,000
  • Sponsor: $25,000
  • Advocate: $50,000
  • Inner Circle: $100,000

Gifts at all levels are welcome and appreciated. Being able to count on multi-year support contributes to the long-term sustainability of The HOME Project and its ability to plan for the future of these children and youth. If you are in a position to make a multi-year pledge, we would be grateful for your forward-looking commitment.

Here are some examples of average annual expenses, to frame how your contribution would help:
