Giannis Dionysopoulos
Head of HR
Giannis Dionysopoulos is the Head of Human Resources at The HOME Project, leading the organization’s people function and shaping HR policies, processes and practices that foster an effective, inclusive and supportive working environment.
He has extensive experience in human resources management across the nonprofit and private sectors, with a strong background in social care and child protection. His expertise spans people strategy, organizational development and change, employee relations and workplace compliance, with a particular focus on building and transforming HR practices that support both people and organizational effectiveness. Prior to transitioning to the nonprofit sector, he gained experience in the pharmaceutical industry, combining people management with operational responsibilities.
Giannis holds a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education and Sport Science from Democritus University of Thrace, an MSc in Sport Management from the University of Peloponnese, and an MBA in General Management, with an academic focus on employee retention and supportive organizational culture.
Drawing on his background in both human resources and sport, Giannis believes that strong organizations, much like strong teams, are built on trust, shared purpose, continuous development and the opportunity for every individual to contribute at their best. He sees HR as a key part of creating the conditions for both people and organizations to grow.
